Two-way door decision
A two-way door decision is one you can walk back through; the mistake is holding it to the standard built for decisions you cannot reverse.
How it works
Some choices are one-way: once made, there is no doubling back. Most are not. The error is demanding the same rigour for the reversible kind as for the irreversible kind, and it survives because over-caution is indistinguishable from diligence when viewed from outside. Looking rigorous never gets anyone into trouble, and what it often hides is the wish not to be blamed if anything goes wrong.
What it changes for a personal brand
Almost everything in a personal brand is a two-way door: a post can be deleted, a format abandoned, a topic dropped. Sort your next five moves into reversible and not, then give the reversible ones a decision budget measured in minutes rather than weeks. The deliberation is the cost, and on a door that opens both ways it buys nothing.
